Since April 5, 1905, the Rathbone Home has loved and served its residents. The property was originally founded by Kate & Caroline Rathbone as a residential facility for elderly women. They dedicating it to the prominent Evansville banker, George Rathbone, their wife and brother. Theo home changed hands in 1967 and again in 1983 until it officially became the Rathbone Retirement Community in 1988 and has remained in the same family to this day. The original intent of the Rathbone family was to love and serve the elderly in the community and we are proud to carry on that tradition.
